The first season of the first television series created by Antonio Albanese concluded with the sudden and adventurous escape of Sebastiano, Uncle Vincenzo, and U Stuorto. After a long journey, the three reached the sea, but to avoid ending up in jail, they immediately had to search for a new refuge.
The second season picks up precisely from this urgency: the trio decides to re-enter the nearest tunnel and undertake the tortuous journey towards a safe hiding place for Sebastiano and Uncle Vincenzo’s fugitivity. The undertaking will not be easy. Far from their beloved family, who remained living in the historic semi-detached house, now guarded day and night by police, our characters will have to overcome many obstacles: from forced cohabitation with intolerant “colleagues” to an encounter with a sparkling drag queen. And it will take time and patience before they reach a protected place where they can resume their longed-for life on the run.
Only then will Sebastiano be able to regain control over Betta, Carmen, and Benni: he will thus dissuade – and not with gentle manners – an unsuspecting suitor from staying away from his wife Betta, a widow for cover. Informed that his daughter Carmen is expecting, he will act incognito to meet the aristocratic boyfriend, taking his usual absurd security measures. And Benni? Sebastiano has by now lost hope for him. Among all, however, his dearest friend, U Stuorto, will surprise and shock him!
Antonio Albanese – here again in the role of author, director, and actor – returns to animate the character of Sebastiano, who successfully brought the story of the mafia to television in a comedic key. Thus, the narrative exercise inspired by the many ingenious subterfuges devised by real fugitive bosses to evade justice continues. An original exercise from which emerges the unmistakable work of humorous reversal that has characterized the series since its beginnings and now returns with six new 30-minute episodes during which one smiles, ridiculing the world of organized crime and condemning its laws and customs.
